Aim to represetn Great Britain

HOME SWEET HOME!

Gone are the palm trees and clear blue skies - it's cold, it's wet, it's grey - we must be home! A month of sailing in the sunny waters of Biscane Bay, Miami has taught us a great deal. We now know how we each react under pressure, how to bring the best out of one another, how to work together in the boat to perform when the stakes are high.

We know we face tough competition if we are to represent Great Britain at the Olympic Games in 2008. We know that the road ahead after selection will be tougher still if we are to win Gold for our country. We also know that we have a strong, committed and determined team with the potential to achieve our goals.

For the rest of the month we'll be working out in the gym and tuning the boat until she's ready to race in Palma. We move out to Palma at the beginning of March for a couple of weeks' training before the Princess Sofia Olympic Classes Regatta. We need to review our goals for the next training period and prioritise what areas need most work to improve our performance on the water. There's a lot of hard work ahead and it'll be great to meet the foreign teams on the water again in a couple of months to find out how far our training has brought us!
